SUPER BLOGGER ACADEMY LINKY 01

Should you send a Newsletter ?This is what 24 Bloggers told us #SuperBloggerAcademy Linkup(01)

We asked our Blogger friends about why they thought a newsletter was important. This is what they said.
To check who is really interested in your blog and why.In today’s world of such mammoth internet activity and so much web traffic, it is pretty difficult to attract attention to a tiny corner of the net where one’s website may be residing. Multinational corporations spend millions of dollars trying to direct traffic to their site. A lot of money is spent on internet advertising by well to do companies to attract people to eCommerce websites to sell their products. On-line transactions are the name of the game.

We may have several reasons for setting up a website. Some people set up websites for enabling them to do business on a very large scale, some for earning a little money on the side and yet others like me are interested in showcasing their budding writing skills. By collecting a list of subscribers we are getting people to commit to our blog or website or business.

Let us take the example of a blog. A person will subscribe to a blog only if something about it is attractive to him or her.

Any marketing campaign requires a subscribers list. The subscriber’s list enables us to collect data about people who are genuinely interested in our site.

A subscriber’s list is important for many reasons. Let us say, tomorrow you change the design of your blog to something you feel is more attractive. It is imperative that you inform your readers of your blog about it and sometimes it would add to the bonhomie between you and your subscribers if you also ask for their opinion on the new design. For doing this you can send a nicely designed newsletter with a link to your blog and a simple prompt asking them if they are fond of the new design.

Because it’s your opt-in audience that will be most loyal and will convert. It is also a database that cannot go away because of some changes in the platforms policy changes.
People will feel pleased that they are being asked for an opinion. Similarly, an eCommerce site which is selling products might change an existing product’s design or introduce a new product or for that matter change the site’s design. In this case, rather than waiting for users to visit your site and getting to know about the changes you can preempt matters by sending a well-designed newsletter to all your subscribers. Any marketing campaign requires a subscribers list.

Email subscribers are the one who had shown interest in continuing the relationship with your blog and for us they are important as our readers and helps us grow in our domain.
The subscriber’s list enables us to collect data about people who are genuinely interested in our site. There are several other reasons to use a subscribers list. If your blog is new then you can add your regular contacts from several sources (people who do not mind being automatically added by you) and inform them of your blog’s launch. This can be done for business sites also.
The importance of a subscriber’s list is paramount be it a blog, a business site or any other kind of web site like that of a non-profit organization. Because it’s your opt-in audience that will be most loyal and will convert. It is also a database that cannot go away because of some changes in the platforms policy changes.

helps give your followers direct access to posts instead of them having to come looking for new posts.
Direct access to readers is very important. Also, it is good that you never miss to reach out to your readers. Social media is more generic, but this is direct.
